Cherry Academy is an incorporated body with the vision to bring responsible professionals to society. Cherry Academy founder Premakumar Fernando FCMA, CGMA is a very senior member of CIMA counting more than 4 decades of working experience. Our founder Premakumar Fernando is a pioneer in online tuition for CIMA. He started CIMA online tuition way back in 2007 using skype technology. During the past 15 years, we have produced more than 200 CIMA Members globally. Our past students are presently CEOs, CFOs, and Board of Director members of leading global conglomerates.

We are the best fit for students who have a very busy schedule, and we cater to what you need to focus on to pass CIMA exams.

We do possess an experienced qualified panel of tutors. What is unique about our panel of tutors is their practical experience through their own careers which they effectively use to deliver lessons to meet the individual needs of each student.

At Cherry, we now offer online tuition courses for young students starting from Primary grades in schools to GCE O/L, A/L covering all subjects including Mathematics, Science, History, English Language, Sinhala Language, etc. Our tutor panel consists of well-experienced qualified tutors from International and local schools in Sri Lanka. All classes are one to one and we relieve parental stress by attending to your child’s homework needs. Our desire is to have strong families through parent support/fellowship and skills training to bring responsible professionals to society.

Mr. Premakumar Fernando is a FCMA and a Member of Chartered Global
Management Accountants. He counts more than 40 years of work experience
covering both the Private Sector and the Public Sector of Sri Lanka. He was a world prize winner of many subjects in CIMA. He has worked as Finance Director of leading conglomerates in Sri Lanka and as Head of Finance of leading Public Utilities in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Premakumar Fernando was a British Council Scholarship winner and has followed an Executive Development Program in Manchester Business College.

He started online tutoring in 2007 with INSAF Business School. Later he founded
his own institute Learn with Kumar. He has successfully mentored and coached
hundreds of students for CIMA/ACCA exams. His student population includes
students from UK, USA, Australia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan,
Bangladesh, Mauritius, Nigeria, Zambia, New Zealand, Dubai, Qatar, etc;

He is presently working with Practice Test Academy as a tutor helping their
students with their study issues. He was also in the tutoring panel of Ultimate
Access till will recently.

He founded Cherry Academy in 2021 with the vision to develop a curiosity of
learning through digital technology.
