Cherry Academy’s educators are determined to help our students succeed. We require that all our teachers have a bachelor’s degree. In fact, most of them have a master’s degree or Ph.D.
At Cherry Academy, we only hire the instructors who are experts in their fields and display the energy and enthusiasm necessary to effectively engage our students.
Short Bio of Mr. Marcus
Mr. Marcus graduated from California State University with a BA in Liberal Study, and received his Master’s degree in Ed. Leadership. He is a lead English teacher in a private school. He holds a teaching Credential from the State of California and also has teaching experience in a public school. He has taught elementary, middle school and high school students about five years, and has an extensive knowledge of classroom techniques that allow him to bring concepts to life and engage students regardless of their learning styles or previous knowledge.
Short Bio of Mrs. Wesley
Mrs. Wesley has a BA in English/ Library Science, and MBA in Business. She has Certification in Education from
San Jose State University. She has more than fifteen years of teaching experience. Mrs. Wesley has taught elementary, middle school and high school students on grammar, reading, vocabulary and writing. She also help students on their SAT/ACT test preparation.
Short Bio of Mrs. McCrary
Mrs. McCrary graduated from Texas Southern University with a BA in Political Science, and received her Master’s degree in Public Administration. She holds a teaching Credential from the State of California and Texas. Currently she is a English Language Art teacher in a public school. She has 5 year teaching experience in English Language Arts (Elementary, middle school and high school). Extensive teaching experience in English, Literature, Writing, US History, World History. She brings energy to the classroom and engages students in her class.
Short Bio of Dr. Cao
Dr. Cao was born in China and received her undergraduate education in China, PhD degree in Japan, and postdoctoral education in UC Berkeley. She had taught at a university in China and Japan respectively as a professor. When she was studying in Japan she also had the pleasure of teaching to elementary school students and to adults at various community centers for over 3 years. Since coming to the United States to work as post-doctor for UC Berkeley, she has been teaching and tutoring on various subjects including PSAT/SAT, ACT, K-12 math, ESL, and TOEFL with great success. She has been teaching and tutoring Math at elementary, middle school and high school level and K-12 multi-subjects including PSAT/SAT and ACT prep.
Short Bio of Ms. Gómez
Ms. Gómez is a native Spanish speaker. She graduated from California State University with a B.S. in Business Administration and Spanish Minor. She has about four year teaching experience. She has taught and interacted with students of all ages.
